Exmile Tires: Cured-On and Mold-On Tires, Wheels and Pneumatics

Posted by Forklift Tire Company on 28th Jun 2026

Exmile is a value-focused industrial tire brand we stock for two very different jobs: cured-on (mold-on) solid tire-and-wheel assemblies for scissor lifts and aerial work platforms, and a broad range of pneumatic (air) forklift tires. This guide explains exactly what an Exmile cured-on / mold-on tire is, how it differs from press-on and pneumatic tires, what equipment it fits, and how to order the right Exmile tire the first time.

Quick answer: what is a cured-on (mold-on) tire?
A cured-on tire (also called a mold-on tire) is a solid rubber tire that is molded and cured directly onto a steel wheel during manufacturing. Heat and pressure create a permanent bond between the rubber and the steel, so the tire and wheel ship as one complete assembly. 'Cured-on' and 'mold-on' describe the same construction. You replace the whole unit as a bolt-on assembly - there is no separate tire to press on or off.

The Exmile lineup at a glance

Exmile's catalog centers on two families. Knowing which one your machine needs is the single biggest step toward ordering correctly.

Family Construction Best for Key trait
Cured-on / mold-on (CON-Series) Solid rubber cured onto a steel wheel; complete assembly Scissor lifts, aerial and boom lifts, select equipment Non-marking, bolt-on, flat-proof
Pneumatic (air) Air-filled tire mounted on a rim Forklifts working outdoors or on rough surfaces Wide size range, cushioned ride

Looking for solid pneumatic (resilient) options that fit pneumatic rims and resist punctures? See resilient solids and pneumatics or check current Exmile inventory.

Cured-on vs mold-on vs press-on vs pneumatic - the difference that matters

These terms get used loosely, but they describe genuinely different parts. Ordering the wrong construction is the most common - and most expensive - replacement mistake.

Construction How it mounts Tire + wheel together? Typical equipment
Cured-on / mold-on Rubber cured onto its own steel wheel; bolt the complete assembly on Yes - one complete unit Scissor lifts, aerial / boom lifts
Press-on band (cushion) Rubber on a steel band, hydraulically pressed onto the machine's wheel No - band only; needs a press Cushion-tire forklifts (indoor)
Resilient solid Solid rubber in a pneumatic profile; mounts on a pneumatic rim No - tire only Forklifts in puncture-prone yards
Pneumatic (air) Air-filled tire seated on a rim, like a car tire No - tire only Outdoor / rough-terrain forklifts
Why this matters
A cured-on / mold-on assembly is a bolt-on swap you can do with hand tools - remove the old tire-and-wheel unit, bolt on the new one. A press-on band, by contrast, requires a hydraulic press and trained personnel. Confirming which your machine uses before you order prevents downtime and returns.

Exmile cured-on / mold-on solid tires (CON-Series)

The Exmile CON-Series is the brand's cured-on / mold-on line for scissor lifts and aerial work platforms. The tire is built and cured directly onto its steel wheel, so it arrives as a finished, ready-to-bolt-on assembly.

  • Non-marking compound with a high percentage of natural rubber - extended wear life, low rolling resistance, and no marks on finished floors.
  • Cured directly onto the steel wheel for a permanent bond - the tire and wheel ship as one complete assembly.
  • Straight bolt-on installation - remove the old assembly and bolt on the new one. No tire press required.
  • OEM-approved by Genie, Manitou, Airo and Dingli.
  • Commonly used on certain Genie, JLG, Skyjack and Snorkel scissor lifts, plus select Genie boom lifts and vertical mast lifts. Always verify fitment before ordering.

Exmile pneumatic forklift tires

Beyond mold-on assemblies, Exmile makes a wide range of pneumatic (air-filled) forklift tires for trucks that work outdoors or on rough, uneven surfaces. They mount on standard pneumatic rims, like a passenger or truck tire, and deliver a cushioned ride with good outdoor traction.

  • Available across a broad size range - common sizes run from 15x4.5-8 up through 32x12.1-15 and more.
  • Mount on standard pneumatic forklift rims.
  • Black tread compound built for outdoor and rough-surface duty.

Exmile wheels and assemblies - how sizing works

With cured-on / mold-on tires, the wheel is part of the tire - you order a complete assembly, not a bare tire. That makes sizing simple once you know how to read it.

How to read a mold-on size (example: 15x5x11)
Mold-on sizes read Outside Diameter x Width x Bore. So 15x5x11 means a 15-inch outside diameter, 5-inch tread width, and 11-inch center bore. Some sizes also note a hub dimension, for example 13.5x4 (96). To match a replacement, read the size stamped on your current tire or wheel, or measure the outside diameter, width and bore.

Need a bare wheel or a different assembly? See wheels and assemblies, or match by equipment with the forklift tire sizes by make and model guide.

How to order the right Exmile tire the first time

  • Identify the job. Scissor or aerial lift means cured-on / mold-on (CON-Series). A forklift usually means pneumatic.
  • For mold-on: read Outside Diameter x Width x Bore from the current assembly, and confirm brake vs non-brake position if your machine uses both.
  • For pneumatic: read the size off the sidewall, for example 7.00x12.
  • Match to your equipment make and model using the make and model size guide.
  • When in doubt, verify fitment with us before you order - it is the fastest way to avoid a wrong-part return.

Exmile tires FAQ

What is a cured-on tire?
A cured-on tire is a solid rubber tire cured (molded) directly onto a steel wheel during manufacturing and shipped as one complete bolt-on assembly.
Is a mold-on tire the same as a cured-on tire?
Yes. Both terms describe the same construction - rubber molded and cured onto the wheel to form a permanent tire-and-wheel assembly.
How is a mold-on tire different from a press-on tire?
A mold-on tire is cured onto its own wheel, so you bolt on a complete assembly. A press-on band is pressed onto the machine's existing wheel with a hydraulic press and is a band only.
Are Exmile cured-on / mold-on tires non-marking?
Yes. The Exmile CON-Series uses a non-marking rubber compound that will not leave marks on finished floors.
What equipment uses Exmile mold-on tires?
Commonly certain Genie, JLG, Skyjack and Snorkel scissor lifts, plus select Genie boom lifts and vertical mast lifts. Always verify fitment before ordering.
Does Exmile make pneumatic forklift tires?
Yes. In addition to mold-on assemblies, Exmile offers a wide range of pneumatic (air-filled) forklift tires across many sizes.
What is the Exmile CON-Series?
The CON-Series is Exmile's line of non-marking cured-on / mold-on tire-and-wheel assemblies for scissor and aerial lifts, OEM-approved by Genie, Manitou, Airo and Dingli.
How do I read an Exmile mold-on size like 15x5x11?
Outside Diameter (15 inches) x Width (5 inches) x Bore (11 inches). Read it off your current assembly or measure those three dimensions.
Do Exmile mold-on tires come as a tire-and-wheel assembly?
Yes. The tire is cured onto the wheel, so you receive a complete bolt-on unit rather than a separate tire and rim.
How do I verify Exmile fitment?
Read the size on your current tire or wheel, or measure outside diameter, width and bore, then match to your equipment make and model. Contact us to confirm before you order.
