The 6-inch inside diameter is one of the more common wheel sizes found on electric pallet jacks, end riders, and center-control rider trucks. Facilities that rely on 6" hub equipment typically run multi-shift warehouse or retail distribution operations where consistent tire performance directly affects throughput.
Two Compounds Stocked Online
Each 6" ID polyurethane tire we sell is manufactured by Millennium Elastomers and offered in your choice of compound:
Hyload (95A Durometer) — The industry standard for operations that demand dependable performance under heavy loads and extended run times. Hyload is formulated with a highly linear chemical structure that dissipates heat efficiently, allowing the tire to carry greater weight while drawing less power from the battery. Its strong resistance to chunking and tearing makes it a cost-effective solution for high-volume facilities.
SPS — Super Premium Soft (88A Durometer) — A softer compound that achieves its lower durometer through a resilient chemical backbone rather than by increasing rolling resistance. The result is a tire that cushions operators and loads from shocks and vibrations while still gliding efficiently across warehouse floors. SPS is particularly well suited for freezer applications and operations where operator comfort and battery preservation are priorities.
Request-Only Compounds
We also have access to several specialized Millennium Elastomers formulations that are available by request for customers whose operating conditions call for something beyond SPS or Hyload:
- HLS — A solid general-purpose option that performs well under moderate loads in standard warehouse settings.
- HL3 — Offers heightened resistance to cuts and tears for environments with occasional floor hazards.
- HL4 — Targets applications where sustained heavy payloads require additional load-bearing capacity.
- Vulkollan — A high-end elastomer recognized across the material handling industry for superior heat resistance and load support at elevated speeds.
- Falconium — Optimized for longer service life in facilities that need to minimize downtime from tire replacements.
- XD593 — Developed for the most punishing environments where extreme abrasion resistance is a necessity.
