28-Inch Inside Diameter Polyurethane Press-On Tires
28-inch ID polyurethane press-on tires are used on the largest industrial forklifts and specialty indoor material handling equipment. This wheel size is typically found on high-capacity machines in steel mills, heavy manufacturing, aerospace component handling, and other operations that move extremely heavy loads.
In-Stock Compounds
We offer 28-inch ID polyurethane tires in two Millennium Elastomers compounds:
Hyload (95A Durometer) — Built for very large equipment where tire mass and payload weight create significant internal heat during operation. Hyload helps manage that heat so the tire can maintain compound stability, dependable load performance, and strong resistance to chunking and tearing. It also helps reduce battery draw on large-format forklifts, making it a proven choice for demanding indoor applications.
SPS — Super Premium Soft (88A Durometer) — Designed to improve ride quality on the largest indoor forklifts by reducing vibration and impact without creating excessive rolling resistance. SPS helps improve operator comfort while maintaining strong battery efficiency. It is also a good option for cold-storage operations where dependable traction matters.
Specialized Compounds Available by Request
If Hyload or SPS does not fully match your operating conditions, we can also supply additional Millennium Elastomers compounds through our team:
- HLS — A practical option for 28-inch equipment operating under standard load demands and normal floor conditions.
- HL3 — Built for improved resistance to tearing and surface damage in facilities with debris or rougher floor conditions.
- HL4 — Designed for the highest load demands in indoor material handling applications.
- Vulkollan — A premium elastomer known for excellent thermal stability and strong mechanical performance on large-format industrial wheels.
- Falconium — Developed to extend tire life and reduce replacement frequency on large, high-cost equipment.
- XD593 — A specialty compound for the most severe industrial environments where maximum wear resistance is required.
