22-inch ID polyurethane press-on tires are used on high-capacity electric forklifts and specialty material handling vehicles built for the heaviest indoor lifting applications. This wheel size is commonly found in steel service centers, heavy manufacturing, bulk paper handling, and other operations that move oversized or exceptionally heavy loads.
Compound Options Available Online
Each 22-inch ID polyurethane tire we sell is available in two Millennium Elastomers compounds:
SPS — Super Premium Soft (88A Durometer) — Designed to reduce vibration and improve ride comfort on large-format forklifts without sacrificing battery efficiency. SPS uses an energy-return formulation that helps cushion the operator while maintaining low rolling resistance. It is also a strong choice for cold-storage environments where dependable traction matters.
Hyload (95A Durometer) — Built for oversized equipment operating under high mechanical and thermal stress. Hyload helps control heat buildup during sustained heavy-load use, which supports dependable load performance, strong resistance to chunking and tearing, and lower energy draw. It is a proven option for demanding indoor applications where durability and efficiency both matter.
Request-Only Specialty Compounds
If Hyload or SPS does not fully match your operating conditions, we can also supply additional Millennium Elastomers compounds by request:
- HLS — A dependable choice for 22-inch applications with moderate demands and standard indoor floor conditions.
- HL3 — Built to resist cutting and tearing in facilities where heavy loads and rough floor conditions increase tire wear.
- HL4 — Designed for the highest load-bearing demands within the Millennium polyurethane compound range.
- Vulkollan — A premium elastomer known for excellent performance under high loads and higher travel speeds with low heat buildup.
- Falconium — Developed to extend tire life and reduce replacement frequency on large-format equipment.
- XD593 — A specialty compound for extreme-duty industrial environments where standard compounds wear too quickly.
