8-inch ID polyurethane press-on tires are widely used on three-wheel sit-down electric forklifts, stand-up reach trucks, and some counterbalanced forklift models. This wheel size is common in warehouses, food storage, and pharmaceutical facilities that operate on smooth concrete floors.
Compounds We Carry
Our 8-inch ID polyurethane tires are available in two Millennium Elastomers compounds, both bonded to a precision steel press-on ring:
Hyload (95A Durometer) — A proven compound for heavy loads and continuous operation. Hyload runs cooler than standard polyurethane, which helps extend tire life and battery runtime. It also offers strong chunk and tear resistance, making it a practical choice when durability and value both matter.
SPS — Super Premium Soft (88A Durometer) — Designed to provide a softer ride without creating the extra rolling resistance found in many conventional soft compounds. SPS helps reduce vibration, improve operator comfort, and maintain low battery consumption. When paired with sensor siping, it becomes an excellent option for freezer applications and cold, condensation-prone concrete floors.
Specialty Compounds Available by Request
If Hyload or SPS does not fully match your operating conditions, we can also source additional compounds through our team:
- HLS — A balanced compound for moderate loads and standard warehouse conditions.
- HL3 — Added tear resistance for floors with metal debris, dock plates, or rough transitions.
- HL4 — Engineered for operations that carry consistently heavy loads and need added tire capacity.
- Vulkollan — A premium elastomer known for low heat generation and strong load support at higher travel speeds.
- Falconium — Formulated to extend tire replacement intervals in operations that need maximum uptime.
- XD593 — A specialty compound for extreme-duty applications where surface conditions and load demands accelerate normal tire wear.
